Gustave Bienvetu
(1877-1914 )
19th century French painter of genre and still life painters, but was most celebrated for his beautiful pictures of flowers. He was probably a student in Paris and studied under the flower painters, S. Petit and Aumont.
From 1877 to 1906, Bienvetu exhibited at the Paris Salon, notably:

The latter exhibited painting was bought for the Musee de Bourbon Lancy. In 1906 Bienvetu was awarded an Honourable Mention for his work of that year.
Bienvetu's paintings are delicately executed with a subtle build up of glazes to give a subtle palette. His roses are particularly well drawn and evocative.
Bienvetu’s paintings are now held in the Museum of Bourbon Lancy, as well as a number of important private collections both in Europe and England.
